Color? Powerband? 390? HMmm I learn something strange & new everyday. . . . .
I didn't know tachs could define powerbands, all these years I thought the camshaft determined the powerband and the tach showed RPMs during operation....
I'll match ya, remember back in the 70's they had a gauge with green / yellow / red that was for fuel mileage on a dash vacuum gauge?
I kept it in the red zone like them red party lights you see in the rear view mirror.
In the orange zone like the exhaust manifolds glowing in the dark under full power?
Auto Zone?
Now the idiot zone i've passed thru many times.
.....=o&o>.....

I'm with you. I still have the vacuum guage mounted on the steering column. Kinda neat. Stomp on it and it goes to zero. Tells you when you are driving although I know when I'm driving. The dual exhaust tells me when I'm in the power range. It gets out of whack at 12,000ft altitude but who's counting.
Power bands are what is left when you stomp on it from a dead stop, if your FE has the juice. Color would be black.
Peace

Aye, Captain, hot pink is one color you pass through, then you laz ruby, and pass white hot as the stars zing past - but at true warp speed there is only the deep dark black of empty space!
