Exclamation Bad shake going into first

so i have a '57 ranchero 312 v8, and i just put a t-10 trans into it. changed the front Ujoint, i have a 9'' rear end, need to get the gear ratio for you. so getting into first it gives a nice shake, i can hear my bed jumping. so i lifted the rear end and put it through every gear with no shake. i dont know what it is. so to get into 1st i almost have to dump the clutch. any suggestions. i used to have a 3sp with oversdrive in it.

is it shaking when you first take off? or is when you down shift into first?

if it is when you take off, the clutch and pressure plate need to be replaced.

if it is when you down shift into first, sounds like a bad gear in the tranny to me.
