Big green machine

I picked up this 71 f100 shortbed 4x4 a few months ago in a trade for my tundra.
recently rebuilt 300i6 and rear axle
D44 front 9inch with lsd rear
power steering is on the to do list and a drop Pittman arm

When I got it it was listed for 12k
I understand this is quite a rare truck but what's it worth.

Title is salvaged and its Odviosly been hit but its pretty clean interior and everything mechanically is great. Pics will come soon

It's only worth what people are willing to pay for it. But, with the salvage title, it will be worth less than any estimates you get for value.

Short bed: Is this a Flareside or a Styleside? The Flareside is rare, the Styleside is scarce.

591 1971 F100 4WD Flareside pickups were assembled. The figures do not break down short from long beds.

12,870 F100 4WD Styleside pickups were assembled. The figures do not break down short from long beds.

Your stuck with that salvage title in CA .. there's no way to get rid of it. Most people (including new/used car dealers) who are aware, will not buy a vehicle with a salvage title.

Not really trying to sell it I was gonna then I figured I'd regret it just wondering what its worth. And yeah its salvaged not a huge deal in my opinion but it does seem like its been hit the dent in the cab where it seems the bed was once smashed in to it. The bed is white under the paint cab is a Forrest green an innerfender is blue. All has been spayed over but you can find some chips. I wanna extend the radius arms, better than Rancho shocks and power steering for now also step up to 33s for freeway cruising as it has 4.10s and revs higher than I like

Where was listed for $12K?
The market where I live, I’d offer $2500.

Rarely do you recover a bunch of money you dump into a vehicle. Salvage title value is about 60% of wholesale I also think 2500-3000 would buy it most places. Maybe Californians just have more money to throw around. I should start bringing some trucks out there to sell.

I had an over of 7k but I personally like it more than that. Anyways not really trying to sell it.

Currently it tows my baja bug to the desert 3000lbs loaded up a pretty good grade. Did that without issue.

I also know alot of jeep guys so its going be be more crawling trail rig oriented. I'm a welder/fabricator so making things isn't a problem for me its just what I do

The 1971 F250 4WD has a salvage title, the 1969 F250 4WD is described as "very rare" (but it's not).

1972 F100 has a "strait" body. I'm aware of Battle of Surigao Strait, a famous naval battle in WWII (Admiral Jesse B. Oldendorf's Pearl Harbor "ghosts" pounded the Japanese fleet), but...

I've never seen a strait vehicle body.

Not only does it have a "strait body," It also has "costume rims."
I guess these two features makes it "Very Rare."
