Stock rim offset and backspace

Im thinking of getting new rims and tires Moto Metal 951B 17*9 with nitto terra 17-70-295. The rims have 4.5" bs and 12mm offset i was just wondering if it would fint on 2000 X not lifted

I do not know the offset, but the stock BS on my wheels is 4.25. 4.5 is moving in the wrong direction. 295 would be increasing the width of the tire and 4.5 BS would move it closer to the inside of the truck ensuring that it will rub. If I were you, I would look for a 4 inch BS. If the offset pushes all of this outward, it would be like an additional .5 inch (1 inch = 25.4 mm) of backspacing making this work like a 4 inch BS. The tires measure just over 33 inches which is max on a non-lifted X and with it being 6 years old, I would say you are pushing it on that too. Be careful and prepared for a small lift if they rub.

I have 16x8 wheels with a 4.5'' backspacing with 315/75/16's on my super duty and have no rubbing issues. I installed an add a leaf to fit the big tires and with the 4.5'' back spacing it keeps everything tucked nicely in the wheel wells with out sticking out and having to put fender flares on to keep the rocks off the sides of the truck. Check my gallery for pics.

I know that BS is bigger than stock but remember that stock rim is 16*7" wide
so that new rim would stickout extra 1.75" to the outside, i'm more afraid to have rubbing issues with bumper and fender than with the frame

How did this turn out? I'm thinking of doing the same thing on my X.
