Who will buy a 6.4 PSD, right away, and why?
I am curious. How many guys will trade their 6 liter PSD on a 2007 6.4 liter Diesel, as soon as they can, and why?
How many people would trade their 7.3 liter PSDs in on a 2007, 6.4 liter Diesel, as soon as they can, and why?
Or will potential 2007 6.4 Diesel customers, wait awhile to see how the new 6.4 Diesel, pans out, before considering purchase?

A minor point but, most current rumors indicate that the 6.4 will be designated as an '08 MY but, released in early '07.
Personally, I would likely wait at least a few months to see how they kick off. If nothing significant came up and I had the opportunity / need...I would be fine with it. But, then again, I have a totally excellent 6.0.

I now have had two first year redesigns. A 1995 F250 Powerstroke and a 1999 7.3L F250. I have had little, if any problems other than temporary wear and tear issues with these trucks. Being that I still own the '99 and currently am pushing upwards on the mileage, I will be purchasing an '07 ('08) as soon as they hit. Let me say, I have not been personally subject to the terrors of the 6.0L, but I am excited to try out the 6.4L TT for all the skeptics .

In all fairness, with the price of the diesel option in '07 pickups with the new emission equipment, and the price of low sulpher diesel, I don't see myself buying a diesel pickup for the foreseeable future. But, even if that were not the case, I wouldn't but the 6.4L twin turbo Powerstroke until it has been on the market at least 3 years.

Ford may have learned their lesson with the 6.0. But these new emmisions requirements may have tipped their hand.
BTW, has any body noticed the illogic of putting more #@%^& on your truck to reduce emmisions and reducing the milage. It seems to me that leaving the #@%^& off would increase the efficiency of the vehicle and total effect being less emmisions. THe EPA must be a run by idiots. But maybe its just GW Bush.

bsnewell...I may agree with... "BTW, has any body noticed the illogic of putting more #@%^& on your truck to reduce emmisions and reducing the milage. It seems to me that leaving the #@%^& off would increase the efficiency of the vehicle and total effect being less emmisions."
...The political part is not good.
Thanks
