I booked a trip with airmiles to the US in August. The nice lady at Airmiles told me I doidn't need a passport to fly to the States, which is different from what I have heard.

I cross the line once a month to pick up parts with a birth certificate and a driver's licence, but that is driving.
Do they give you a hard time boarding a flight without a passport?

Someone who has done this recently, please type back at me

I haven`t flown for afew years so I am not sure. I don`t think it is a requirement yet but it`s supposed to be coming. You have time to get a passport and that could save having any problems. At the very least get a form of picture id, Sask. has driver licence photos.

 

Passport for sure when Flying in.

Driver's license or approved Government picture Identification PLUS, birth certificate when Driving in.

 

MIllion this has me real concerned that I will get to Toronto and not be able to cross the line to Slickstock in the puddle jumper to Pa.
Airmiles and the AMA have both told me that I DON'T need a passport... have you heard different?

You NEED a passport at the airport.

Only ground access (driving in) to the US is NOT Passport governed.

Then you require a vaild Driver's License and Birth Certificate.

You can go thru customs right in if you fly direct to the US Canada .
Since you are flying to TO you will have to go thru customs there.

I went to Arizona last November and they asked for my passport 3 times before I got ON the plane in Calgary , then once again in the US.
