I use good ol' Mr Clean with warm water and your ordinary wash cloth. I do this about once a week. I dont like that shiny crap either. In fact in my owners manual it says not to use it. With the shiny crap on your interior and if you open your door while its raining it leaves water marks.

The Armor All wipes are not greasy. You could try the Mr clean magic eraser.

I mix warm water and some Murphy's Oil soap. This doesn't dry out the vinyl like some others can but gets rid of the dirt. works wonders on stearing wheels. Also a vegtable scrubbie works good on getting the grit out of the crinkles of vinyl. Dont use an SOS pad. those are steal wool and are horrible on interiors. Murphys Oil soap leaves a nice scent too.

Saddle Soap is great for the leather steering wheel wrap. Cleans it up, doesn't make it slippery, keeps the leather from cracking and hey it smells nice.

Hi.

Just read your question and had a spare 2 cents. I recently cleaned a steering wheel that had built up sweat and other gunk from the PO over the years. Most cleaners would not touch it including Simple Green. A lesser problem would probably have been fine for Simple Green but this stuff was greasy and caked into the grain.

I tried Meguiars' Mirror Glaze #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner with a soft brush and in 1 application the wheel looked like new. I followed with Mirror Glaze #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner Conditioner for a great finish.

You can learn more and see the products on my website at www.drdetailforless.com

Thanx for listening
