tubing stuck to top shock-post

Hello, I am trying to install front shocks on my 01 f150 and I noticed these wierd lines stuck to the shock post. Well, what are these and how do you get them out of the way. I noticed they run to the hubs or calipers so I thought maybe they could have to do with the ABS system. The tech articles and the info on installing my new Bilsteins make no mention of these lines(tubing). Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I haven't done shocks on my f-150, but I have on a mustang. Sure those aren't the brake lines? You can push them out of the way, but be careful with them. The ABS system would be wiring, tubing would be the brake line itself.

no, they are not the brake lines. It's a plastic tubing that uses the top of the shock as a sort of anchor point. It passes through a clip that holds to the top of the post. My luck, I'm going to break the plastic clip getting it off the post. Thanks for the reply fbodyfan.
