Wow, this sound to good to be true. Bob Odom (forestry and farm guy scales etc for Louisiana) met with willie nelson. Willie and Odom want to build bidiesel plant and methanol plant in louisiana. 6 miles from my old house. For the ethanol they are going to use the stalk from sugarcane. its going to be onsite with the brand new Sugarcane mill. NICE. I hope this plan goes throuhgh. also i read in the paper that Odom is getting a bill passed threw congress that will require all diesel to have some% of bio in it, increasing a lil over time ( i think) At least Willie and Bob think we can make it without the arabs (not trying to offend anyone that isnt rolling in oil or oil money over there in saudia rabia

 

This is all great news. Now that American companies hit the sweet spot 3 bucks a gallon they decided to invest in alternative energy. Were was all this interest three or four years ago when fuel was a buck a gallon.

I guess all I'm saying is most of this is being done for the money, the environment will benefit but if oil dropped back to 24 bucks a barrel tomorrow all these projects would get shelved in a heartbeat. IMHO
