i was curious if there are any "BOSS" truck owners around here, or if y'all have even heard of a "BOSS" truck! what it was is a LIGHTNING with out a supercharger, or thats what the sales guy told me. they only came in yellow, or orange, with flat black stripes going from hood to tail gate. i have only seen two(2), 1 yellow,1 orange. any one else seen these trucks? i think they were only made in 2002, and 2003 i might be wrong about the dates but i think those were the only years that they were made. thanks!!!

yea, there's one in my neighborhood that I see quite often on the road.
Yellow base coat with black strips starting at hood and ending at the rear bumper. It sounds pretty nice and I've seen him do a few hard launches, but I don't know if the engine work was factory or not. I've actually been waiting for an opportunity to say hello and ask him about it.
I think I may have come across a Boss truck on Ebay awhile back. I think they are 5.4 F150s with a body kit. I did a little research, kind of sparked my interest, and found out that LA West makes the body kits. http://www.lawest.com/
They have some pretty interesting kits.
A woman has one in town. It's says boss on each side i believe, but i wanna say it's something odd like Boss 54. It looks nice but it's just a full size truck to me. It does have more current(around 2006) style body on it.
That body kit link has some very nice kits.....wow.
I have only seen one I think by your description. It was orange with the black stripes. I do not remember seeing Boss on it but I do recall the body kit and seems as though it had chrome wheels maybe like 18's or 20's. This truck was new at the time setting at the dealership.
I have seen one, but thats about it. I think all it is is a body kit with exhaust and different wheels. I do kinda like it though and it is unique. I would rather have a Lightning though.

The boss trucks were made by la west. They also done van and truck conversions. But the company went belly up a few years ago. There basically all stock f150's with a lowering kit, stickers, body kit, and some bling rims. The factory side lot was always full of orange, yellow and red trucks there everytime I drove by. They didn't have any performance parts added.
They look soooo sweet!!! i like them better than the 2nd Gen Lightning. They were really rare if I'm not mistaken. They remind me of the Dodge Rumble Bee, but a hell of a lot better!!!!
There are 2 of those here in town and I've gotten a close look at both. 1 of em is a stage 1 and the other has stage III badges. Both of these also have badging from Chattanooga Choo Choo customs on the lower left side of the tailgates. They both have only cosmetic upgrades nothing but stock 5.4s under the hoods. Don't know if this is all that was offered, it's just all I've got to inspect.
