How do you set the dash clock on an 85 F250?
I know this is a dumb question but I couldnt find an answer searching the forums except for newer radio clocks (which Ironically I have figured out no problem)
I have an 85 F250 with one of those dash clocks. I simply cant figure out how to set it or find anyone else that knows. Also, I am not quite sure what e-time is or means or how to set the date. It works kinda like a stopwatch I guess for trips? I dont have a manual and am still looking for one.
At first I thought it was broken and even replaced it - I would appreciate any advice here - thx - Ken

Press the Time Button, and the first of the round buttons together simultainiously for hours. And time and the second round button simultainiously for minutes. Pay attention, there is a AM/PM on these clocks.
The date sets the same way except you press date.
On normal e-time, press this button, and it stops and starts and resets by the two round buttons previously mentioned.
The buttons can be sticky so don't be discouraged if you have to wiggle the buttons, as you press on them to get them to work.
Hope this helps.

The ones you have to press with a Ballpoint pen are installed in the 1980, 1981 and 1982 vehicles.
you pull out the time button, then press the smaller buttons with a ballpoint pen. After time is set, then you press in the time button. Date sets the same way.
On the 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1986, the clock is set as previously mentioned in my earlier posts.

I fugured it worked like that but I guess the buttons arent working right. I actually got the hour to change but had to press so hard that I almost broke it. I have two and am going to take the old one apart to see if I can figure out how to make it work. - will update after I do - Thx for the advice - Ken
