Stock suspension on my 03 FX4
So, I had a flat on my new to me 03 FX4. While at the shop, I noticed that my back tires are cupping ... The truck only has 21K miles ...
So, any reccommendation on what to replace the stock Rancho's with? Should I get another set of Rancho's, or is there something else out there better? If I get the stock Rancho's what are the part numbers? Any good places to buy it from? I am of the attitude, if the rears are bad, then I will replace all 4 at the same time.
The truck will not see heavy off road driving. It will see the fire trail and snow use though. It will also carry a load in the bed.
Thanks!
Anthony

What tires are you running? I usually run either BF Goodrich AT KO's, or ProComp's AT and with both, if you don't rotate regulary, you will get cupping. If you let it go too far and then rotate, you will get additional noise and vibration for a little bit until they wear the cupping down.

Yes a bad strut or shock can, but unless you feel the bounce, then it is more likely to be no rotating. The more aggressive the tread, the more you will have to rotate. Mudders more the AT's and so on. Contact a local 4x4 shop. You can probably just take your truck to them for a quick check that usually doesn't cost anything. That way you can have peice of mind and a second opinion.
