You can do it from the hard drive on your computer.
Click the Custom avatar box
Now click the browse icon and it will show you file on your hard drive
find the file then click open, That file will show up in the window beside browse.
Then click the save changes button.
Your avatar should show up as your current avatar.
If that doesn't work you can do the forum code thing like this.
In your "User CP" (you can find it on the horizontal blue bar up top)
On the left part way down the menu is "Edit Avatar"
Click it.
There are two options. Ignore the first one...
The second one is "Upload an Avatar From Your Computer" with a browse button to the right. Click the browse button and find the picture, then select it.
THIS IS THE PART MOST PEOPLE MESS UP ON:
Once you have done all that, and the picture file is shown in the white box, click on:
SAVE CHANGES!!!
I'm not even a bit kidding - I forgot that a couple of times.
PS Dennis: That particular Avatar picture is exactly 60 X 60 and way under the max file size. I SET IT UP

Except the file size of the pic I want is too big.
Yup, I'm a rookie & don't know how to shrink the thing down to fit.
Here's a link to the pic ( great site too) http://www.collingsfoundation.org/hi...B-24rivers.jpg
Any help would be great.
Thanks
AL.

I'll give #2 a try.
AL.
That worked great !!!!
The reason that I chose this pic is because, 1) this B-24 has been repainted. 2) I believe that the B-24 was built in the Ford facilities in Dearborn which, in a left-handed way, qualifies it to be here at FTE.
