Removeing C-6 (and engine) from old Lincoln, help?

Okay, this isn't exactly a topic about Ford Trucks, but it is related in a roundabout way. I've got a 1977 Lincoln Mark V that is getting a new engine and transmission put into it. The stock engine and trans in the Lincoln is a 460 with a C-6. It is being replaced with a fuelie 460 and E40D trans from an F-450 Super Duty. And this saturday, i'm starting the swap by pulling the old engine and trans out of the car.

Now, to be honest, this project is WAY WAY above my head, i'm pretty much a n00b for this level of car work. But that's never stopped me with any other projects in the past. My big question going into this, for the engine and trans removal, is there any specialized tools that I'm going to need? I've got the usual sets of wrenchs and sockets, bunch of jack stands and a jack, 2-ton shop crane and other basic tools. I just don't want to get into the situation where I'm 4 hours into the project only to discover there's some crazy specialized tool that I have to run out and get.

Also, what order should it be done in? Engine or trans to come out first?

If you have enough height they could be removed as one.
If not the transmission should come out first.

I hope you have a stand alone computer for the trasnmssion.

Yes, I'm getting a Braughman stand-alone transmission computer, along with an Accel DFI engine management system. I don't really have a lot of height, my jack stands will do 22", but I don't have a lift. Tranny out first, then.
