hopefully everyone made it through that last storm system ok...the lightning in our area was phenominal...i don't think i've ever seen anything like it...they were showing pictures of hail on the news that viewers e-mailed in, WOW!!! as i said, i hope everyone is safe...
man, i was out on the porch grilling some burgers when the sirens went off, i got inside and turned the weather on, heard the guy say baseball sized hail, i ran back out got the good truck and my moms car in the gradge, threw the tarp over the old truck. ran back inside got my mom, sisters, nephew, and the dogs into the basement and rode it out.
we're in the quad city area, the storm just barly missed us to the south, i heard iowa city got hit pretty hard hopefully everyones ok out that way.

coming back from detroit yesterday ,we ran right into the storm on I-80 last night temp dropped from 79 to 59 in less than 1/2 mile wicked winds ,hail and rain then we noticed when the lightening lite up the sky, that to our north we noticed a funnel cloud ,about 1/2 way to the ground ,but never materialized ,crazy night. this was about 40 miles east of the quad cities

Crazy night here in C.R........ We had golf ball size hail for about 15 min, and monsoon/typhoon style rain. Just south of us in I.C. is where the worst went through. Glad you all are okay!

Yeah, Iowa City/Corralville and Muscatine area got hit hard. One of our drivers said a Dodge dealership up by IC looked like a bunch of hotwheels cars tossed in a box. I didn't even notice much thunder here in the middle of Davenport. One good thing about living in the middle of the city, I guess....
