Hi all, I don't know too much about ECM computers so I need some help/comments...

A friend wants install a 4.9L EFI engine in his old F150 1986 but we are unable to get locally the proper Ford ECM computer for this truck so I was wondering...

Is there any aftermarket ECM computer? just to control all the EFI stuff and timing, no emissions or tranny is requiered, something very basic.

Any answer line will be appreciated. Thanks

 

did you check out fordfuelinjuction.com go under ecm and it will give you list of all computers for a 4.9 and there catch codes and you should be able to call ford and git a computer?
