Have you guys had any problems with your oil cooler hoses sweating at the metal factory crimp? I was thinking about taking it off and having a local hydraulic shop replace the hose and put on a new metal crimp. Does that sound like that could work? Ford wants $200 for a new hose and I would think I could get it re-done for a fraction of that.


Any thoughts?,

I've seen a few with some stains and signs of weeping at the crimps.
I wonder if a hydraulic shop will have the right fittings or if they are a Ford only part.
