Anyone know where I can find a timing cover oil seal for a 292 Y ...

NAPA carries them as just the seal, or with the front cover kit.

I may have an extra new one. If so I can just mail it to you, assuming you can wait that long. No charge, except if you have an extra, would trade a thermostat housing gasket. If no gasket, no problem. Mike

I spoke too soon Shipfitter. Looked through the gaskets and such and there wasnt a seal.
At least I unexpectedly found an oil pan gasket!

When you get to putting the new seal in just remember, the timing chain cover has no dowel pins to center the seal on the crankshaft snout. The best you can do (without the special tool that the factory had) is to eyeball the seal where it goes around the snout. The weight of the housing will always try to pull it down. Hope this helps.
