Brake on/off switch

I've been battling an annoying tranny issue (tc unlocking in overdrive) and I've finally found a guy who thinks he knows whats going on. Something in the brake system is setting it off, and that I should start with the brake on/off switch. So, where is it and how hard is it to replace myself? Or I could spend $$$ to have him do it.

Jerme .... it will be on the brake master cylinder on the end towards the grill. This is also the part they've been showing on the news that has been causing the fires in the later model F150's ect. .... if that helps you know what it is.
