Carb vent and Evap Cannister

Carb vent and Evap Cannister
On my '76 F250 SC w/ 460 C6 federal emissions, my carb vent is not hooked up. Where do I tie into the evap cannister. It looks like the coffee can style in the front drivers side of the engine compartment and has one hose connected on the top that goes up to a T check valve of some sort that leads to the manifold tree. On the same side of the evap cannister connection hose on the check valve is the vacuum line to the speed control servo. Is there a vent line on the bottom of the charcoal can? I couldn't see one.

One funny thing about you guys calling that vacuum reservoir a coffee can is,
In Canada, we refer to those as Juice cans because our juices used to be packaged in those.
Those old cans of Tomato Juice,Apple Juice, etc are worth 20 cents at the recycler up here
Our coffee cans are quite different

Post #2, second link, shows how the vents are hooked up and it shows the cannister. The cannister is purged by a line to the carb or the PCV valve. The vent can be tied into this purge line or to a connection on the evap emissions cannister. You will notice the drawings show several valves. Some of them are check valves often called a one-way valve. Others are shown with wires that are computer controlled valves. Since there is no computer on your truck just put a 1/16" orifice in a vacuum line hooked to the PCV valve. You will have to improvise since it sounds like some of your OEM equipment is missing. The orifice can be made from a 1/4" long piece of aluminum rod sized to fit a vacuum line then drilled thru and inserted into a vacuum line. The fumes from the tank and carb vent are collected in the carbon cannister then drawn back into the carburetor for burning during engine operation. Get the system hooked up right or your truck will smell like gas all the time.
If you don't have a carbon cannister you can find one at a junkyard. You can find one that will work on many Ford vehicles.
