Curb weight of 72 F100 8' bed

Looking into getting a 72 F100, and wanted to know what the curb weight was.

I have a 69 Ford XL convertible that tips the scales at 4285 lbs, and am looking for something lighter.

Also - are fiberglass panels offered for this truck?

Steve -

Harrison is a 74 model...weighs in about 42,500...in that range. I have seen entire fiberglass kits available (even for the CAB!!), but deleted the links, as I wanted Harrison to be a sleeper....

One kit that is available specializes in kits that make your 72 look like an F150!! I figured hey, if I WANTED a big ole F-150 I'd go buy one....why change the panels.....but it can be done.

I love the F-100 figerglass hoods with the cowl induction - that's about the only way I would "soup up" Harrison...otherwise he'll even retain his stock hubcaps!!

Best of luck...

69XL ---- Yeah, I like that fiberglass bed!! Wow, but 2500.00? Ouch....but it does mean NO rust....I wonder if I should drive the 400 miles down there to scope it out in person....

You can take the front-end; I'll take the bed...
