I have a 2004 F350 Superduty with the stock single disc head unit. I have a chance to pick up a 6 disc in-dash head unit out of a later model Mercury Cougar. Does anyone know if this would be plug and play? Thanks in advance!

 

i highly doubt it. first of all im sure it needs to be out of a truck / suv

By later model cougar, do you mean older model? couldn't find any listing for an 05 or 06 cougar.

One indication would be to check with Crutchfield, for head unit adapter harness. If you get the same harness adapter for both vehicles that should mean that the factory plugs are the same in both vehicles.

Its from the last generation of Cougar, built from 1999 to 2002.
