f150 2000 with passive anti-theft problem
Help! I know little about the mechanics of the truck but it will not start. I had 2 new keys made at a Ford dealership when I got the truck about a year ago. Could it be my battery? The lights and radio work when I turn the key but it just makes a clicking noise. Has anyone ever had this problem? I do not have automatic locking doors so do not have the remote entry. I don't want to have it towed to Ford to find out I just need a new battery. Thank you for any advice.

Thank you so much that is what I am thinking too but will have to wait to get a boost to know for sure. I am not sure how this web-site works so please excuse me if this message does not get to you. Besides being mechanically handicapped, I am not very savvy on the computer either but wanted to see if there was some help before I towed my truck to Ford (as that is the only advice I got from them) Thanks again.
