Swapping a Diesel?

hi what is the possbilities of swapping a 7.3, 6.9, or 6.0 diesel? anybody know some one who has done that project?

From what I've read in these forums: Not likely into a 150.
That 7.3l engine weighs over 900 lbs dry. Your front end can't take it without extensive modification.
Then, you'll have to swap in all the electronics and purge the fuel system of gas.
You can do anything if you have enough time and money, though.
Come over to the 7.3 liter board and ask there. There are some way more qualified posters there and I think others will back this up, but maybe some one has done it since the last time I read about it.

Well I see that there would be a lot of money tied up. And not to talk about beefing up the front end and wiring my god the wiring.

Bell housing etc etc etc and it would go on and on.

I'm sure you'd have some fun and learn A LOT about your truck, but money wise, it'd be cheaper to just buy a used 250 diesel.

Already have one but was just curious because i like the 97 body style
