MikeFromShiloh thanks for that info, I replaced mine with motorcraft.

dayvo I will get some pics on here next week when I get the truck back, I used some scrap metal laying around and welded together a three sided shield (bottom, side to engine and back). Then sprayed it with some of that undercoating sound deadining stuff.

No word from the dealership yet.

Did you notice an improvment in power? after you swapped out the old box.
Personally I hate the stock box. The fasteners suck and the intake is always in the way. But I lost a turbo a while back because the previous owner neglected to change out the filter for a very long time. The fins disentigrated and got progressively worse till I had to replace it. Got my power back but now I'm hesitant to mess with the air intake sys. But napa here in good ol canada charges us 50 bucks a pop for stock cleaner. If you or the other guru's in here believe the turbo won't pile up due to the mod then I'll do it-no sweat. Thanks eh.

Just got word from the dealer.
They ran every test they could and everything check ok, they are sure that it is the chip. They unplugged it and gave it back! Come on, they told me they have seen 2-3 chips that do this. I thought that it would cause a NO start? Anyone else having issues with their DP tuning chip? I guess I will know after this weekend, if it doesnt cut out on me then it was the chip, but I dont think it is. That was a waste of money taking it to the dealer!

Came back from an 800 mile trip and it started fine and didnt stall once with the chip unplugged. Should I call Jody himself or itpdiesel (where I ordered it from), and see what they can do? I guess I am one of the few that have had this problem. Thanks to everyone for trying to help out.

I called Jody and he told me that because I have a 4 position chip the other 2 positions on the 6 postion selector are empty. If amerage or something is acting up it will set it to a defalt setting on the 5th or 6th position, maybe causing it to stall. I asked him about the hard start and he hasnt really had any issues like that. But he recomended I send it to itpdiesel and have then fill the other two positions with the stock program. He was very helpful and knew his stuff. Are there any settings higher than 120 hp extreme?

It WAS the chip. I had it out for 2 weeks while itpdiesel reprogrammed it, and it was starting fine without it. I plugged it back in this weekend and it seemed to start ok this morning. I hope it fixed my problem
