New F250 Help

I'm looking to purchase a new 2006 F250/F350 XL 6.0L PSD 4X4 CrewCab with Torqueshift Tranny and TowCommand, but that's all I want, no other options to keep price down. I will be using the truck to retire my F150 from the duties of horse trailer pulling. I'm looking to get the truck in the next month or so before summer starts. I already can get the $500 College Student rebate and the AQHA member $500 rebate and I've requested a SuperDuty brochure from Ford which I've been told has a rebate in it. So I have a couple questions. Are there any Ford employees that have any extra X Plan PIN's the could hook me up with? Anyone have any tips on how to get the absolute best deal? Anyone know when dealers usually start their sales to make room for new model years (07's)? Well that should be a start. Thanks

The biggest problem I can see is finding that truck in someone's inventory- and we're pretty much past the point where we can still order an '06.

what's an x plan?

Is this something where you have to know someone? I have already ordered my 06 about 2 weeks ago. I signed up for AQHA, but it said you needed to be a member for 60 days before you can get the 500 off. Maybe I'll be lucky and it will take that long to build my truck. Any fincancial help would be appreciated

I don't think you can use the College rebate and AQHA rebate together.

X-Plan is the least generous discount plan, and can be used by anyone who qualifies. You just need to get an X-Plan PIN from someone who has a connection with Ford (supplier, vendor, etc.). But Joe is correct -- you can only use one "private" offer at a time. A/D/X/Z plan, College Grad, AQHA, Military rebate, etc. are all private offers. And a "coupon" incentive (like the SD coupon payableondeath6 mentioned in the first post of this thread) is probably a private offer as well. My understanding is, the only rebates that can go together are the national rebate for the model (according to zip code of the buyer) and possibly a Ford Credit rebate if you finance through FMCC. All rebates have to be in effect at the time of delivery (Polarbear can explain a few ways around this, if the dealer is willing to work with you and try to get you the most rebates possible).

Good luck!
