Trans slip 2nd to 3rd only

Yeah you right about the trans cooler as insurance, did it on my 5.0L T-Bird and it seem to go forever. Thats until a drunk driver totaled it.

drop in a real filter, an inline Magnefine or SPX to remove the rest of that "gold" and keep changing that Mercon ATF

also, blow out the ATF coolers in radiator and any aux inline coolers with compressed air, any metal/band particles tend to settle in those and the torque converter
most good shops replace the coolers and torque converter when replacing a blown metal grinder failed tranny
