torque specs for plugs

every plug search had info on the spark plug blow out but nothing on the actual torque spec of the spark plug.

my truck hit 46,000 miles and its time for the oil change and i wanted to give my truck a little tune up so i purchased a new fuel filter and spark plugs. the only bad thing is i don't know the torque specs of the plugs.

also if there is any problems i might run into when changing the plugs... please let me know!

thanks for the help everyone.

14 ft/lbs for the plugs.

Did you do a search in the V10 forum? Lots info there and you'll have several references to read up on while you go.

Good luck and keep in mind that patience is a virtue...

I like to go 12 ft lbs and use never seize just a little. I wouldn't change em now I would torque them and put the new one's in at 85k or more. The original's should go easily to 90k. They are double plat and they don't wear out easily.

shop manual says 12-14 ft pounds. use anti sieze and you will need a long 5/8'' socket to make it easy. I got mine from napa for 8.00. makes this job easy.
