Centerforce Install

Wanted to know if anybody had put in a Centerforce clutch in an Early Bronco. I built a new engine for my 67 and chose a Centerfore Dual Friction.

The engine works!! It's survived initial break in and moved a little under it's own power. Key here is a little.

Problem I am having is that I can't seem to get the clutch to disengage to shift in into gear properly. Fooled with it a little, but it just made it worse.

Do you need a special clutch fork when going from a 3-finger to a diaphram?

Anybody installed one? Any problems with adjusting the pedal?

If everybody else has had no problems, I know what's up. Or at least I am pretty sure what's wrong then.

In my old 71 F-100, i had a 302 and a 3 speed which is the same tranny as in the EB's. I converted from a 3 finger clutch to a diaphram style. All i had to do was adjust the clutch a little more with the adjuster rod... I used the stock fork so...

I wanted to let you know how I made out. I called a couple of Bronco places and Centerforce and all and nobody really had the same problem, so I called ordered up a fork and release bar, the thing with the bullet on it that goes from the fork to the Z-bar.

Well once I got the new release bar the answer was pretty apparent, the bullet that hits the fork was totally worn down from years of use and about 3/4" shorter than new. Once the new relase bar was installed...... the clutch worked.
Wow!

I've been so busy with other stuff it really took me a while to get back to the Bronco.
