Currently have a 99 F250LD 4x4 supercab with 89,000, had maf sensor changed and on the way home from dealer getting on highway put it to the floor and she shut off. pulled over and she started right up-took back to dealer next day after work, they pulled it right in and the mechanic came back and apologized for not finding bad cop and changed it in 15 minutes no charge-could'nt ask for more-milage about 13.5 no matter what I do.
had a 98 expy 2wd the wife drove with 118,000 we traded in and never had a tune up or problem other than battery change and still got 15-16 in town and 17-19 on highway and my wife is a LEAD foot.
I wish my truck was spunkier but that expy would move off a red light.
1999 5.4 with 113K and going strong. Have a bypass filter system and engine oil cooler. trans cooler, K & N FPIK, Flex-A-Lite electric fans. All lubricants are AMSOIL including Differential.
Ford replaced both head gaskets at about 50k
Front brake pads twice
Changed trans fluid & filter once
Changed Diff fluid once
Flushed coolant system once
I did all myself except the head gaskets
