Stuff for bronco II, and im going crazy

Ok, first off, i want to inquire about wheel spacers for the bronco II....do they even exist?, are they a wallet killer?, i also heard somewhere they may be extra stress on the axle...is that an issue

4' lift kit, what do i need to do for this to work? I dont have the cv driveshaft, so i may/may not be able to still use the one i have now. Whats the best company i should look into?

I cant offord all the stuff i listed just now, but i do need tires, and what you need comes before what you want . Whats the biggest tire size a stock bronco II can have on it. Im pretty sure the axles only like around 33 and thats pushing it with the stock gearing. But i know 33 wont fit a stock bronco II anyway. Ive heard and seen 31's before, anyone else know of this.

Im going crazy cuase i just glued together that touchdrive thing for my 4x4 becuase a tab broke on it and it was lose as all hell. Now after glueing it i relize the ilummination bulbs inside are burntout.
I know no one else would really care if this happend to there truck, but now, this will annoy me forever until i put new bulbs in, its just gotta work. For somreason that stuff justs gotta work or ill so crazy, dont ask.....i didnt even figure it out yet

i'm running 255-70-15 on my bronco II, i put coil springs in fron 1991 f250 with all options, cost was $38.00 for the springs, gave the front end a 4" lift, added extra springs to the back of my bronco II and also add a leaf to level it out, lowered the transfer case 2" so it wont bind and snap the drive shafts.

What else needed to be done for the front springs in order for them to work....did you have major alinment issues afterwards?

Got any ideas on the wheel spacers or max tires sizes?

Lift the front 4" with springs only and your front tires will look like a V from the front. I don't even think you can correct 4" without a drop kit. It's possible but I doubt you can get offset degree bushings for that much.

they do make the bushings for the bronco II, i purchased through a speed shop $61.00 for the pair, and brought the tires back to within limits so they wont do the V

WOW, I didn't think they went that far. Thanks for the info. Does your steering all work the same too?

What about a drop pitman arm??? I'm sure the steering geometry is a little off....

Height wise 30x9.50x15. With a lift you do not want to go bigger then 31x12.50x15 because the stock axles are too weak to handle anything bigger without breaking stuff off road all the time, imo.

I have bent the ears on the front axle shafts just with P235s. If you go with bigger tires, you can use full sized Bronco shocks on the back by reaming out the rear mount holes to 1/2".

The stock B2 can fit 31" with no problem, how do I know this? I had them on mine (still do but now it's raised). I had no problems with turning from wheel lock to lock. I have 31x10.5x15's on it and no problems. I don't recommend going much bigger because of the wimpy axles and stressing the wheel bearings.

There are drop pitman arms for these too, however getting the stock one off is almost impossible. I still have my stock pitman arm (4" lift) on and my tires aren't toe-in or out and I really don't have any problems. I do have a 90 with the front D35 so maybe that has caused some difference?? I doubt it though..

I put a 4 in suspension lift from ruff country i think. Pain in the *** to get the tires alignment back to specs. had to buy some specialty camber thing dont remember where from. But it worked. Lift also came with a drop down pitman arm. with the lift i run 31's. 33's prolly fit but dont want extra wear and tear plus if i bottomed out hard enough im sure they would rub where as my 31's wont rub. Goodluck with your b2.

the BII have a dana 28 TTB on it and i had a 84 with 3 inch body lift and fit 33's on it. but... broke the front axle shaft...not once, twice or 3 times.. but 5 stinking times. with 4.10 gears/ if your want larger than 31s.. i would go find a dana 35 from a sploder or 91-97 ranger, its aslo TTB and will bolt right in where the dana 28 came out. the difference between the 2 are ring gear diameter. axle shaft daimeter. spline count on the hubs, and the dana 35 uses dana 44 universals in the axles. you will need to trim your front DS just a bit. while your at it make us 13-10 universals. now if you go to salvage yards to get a D35 be ware. there are D28 pumkins (hogs head) that are mounted to the D35 TTB. these pumkins are smooth and have no fins. the true D35 have fins and the bolt count is different to but i dont remember the different counts.
