As much as what im about to say is Nasty. I have to say it. My dodge dakota rode smooth. My GMC 3500 Seirra was kinda smooth. but my Ford 250 is bumpy as all heck. Its not just mine. You know what Im talking about.
So what can we do to make it ride like an old lincoln continental?

Drop afew hundred pounds in the back as most of my friends do with their F250`s. Put as much in as you need to for a decent ride, just don`t over do it. Be sure it is well secured so it can`t cause problems in case of a fast stop or an accident.

What my father-in-law did with his 87 GMC 4x4 (and he's a suspension mechanic) - he added a bunch of extra leaves to the springs for carrying really heavy stuff, and then put in the cheapest softest shocks he could find, and it actually rides quite nice for the amount of weight it can handle.

Have a long talk with the local spring shop. I'll be getting my Ranger done soon & they already saved me some money by explaining a different way to spring & shocks the truck and get the same ride, weight capability and rake.
