Is it possible to be notified by email whenever anyone posts to a chaper forum?

Yes open your chapter and click on forum tools select subscribe, that should do it.

The choices are only "no email" "daily digest" or "weekly digest". What if I do not want to wait for the daily digest?

Try the daily and see how that works for you in the meantime i'll check and see if other options can be offered.

Isn't just subscribing to select threads good enough or does it have to be every thread in the chapter?

On most forums that would be true - but I am the chapter leader and feel I should stay on top of what is posted.
