Exclamation Let Ford know about the V10 motor 99Y

Go to this web site

Should send you to this page:
https://secure.ford.com/en/support/emailUs.htm

Find this section:

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=535 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=brownHeader>Corporate Information</TD></TR><TR><TD height=6></TD></TR><TR><TD class=greyText vAlign=top>If you have questions or comments about Ford Motor Company corporation, you may contact us by email, phone or mail.

I think the link "email" above will work but if it is broken got the long way

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

This is the mail I sent... I intend to pester them daily in all the different ways I can find to communicate to FoMoCo including written letters
________________________________________________

Question... What is the future for V10 gas motor option 99Y in the F250 F350 series SuperDuty trucks?

I have owned 5 new Ford vehicles in last 6 years. I will be ordering two new 2007 SuperDuty trucks as soon as the order banks open. I plan on new trucks every couple of years for long into the foreseeable future.

Rumors about the demise or orphaning of the V10 99Y option motor are seriously concerning me.

For the record, I will never ever own another Ford Diesel powered truck. And the 5.4L Gas, standard motor, is out of the question for the tow hauling capabilities I require.

Unhappy Let Ford know about the V10 motor 99Y

I responded also. Hopefully, if everyone voices our feelings about the best
engine ford has manufactured for a while, they may reconsider to let it live
on. Sure the v10 is a small percentage of its bottom line, but a credible investment for big business like ford.

Don't worry about the response

Here is what I got back from Maisha representing Ford Customer relations,

Typical and I don't worry too much that She missed the point. If they get a lot of inquires on same subject they do survey analysis and let the suits know what the trends are.

Send some variation of V10 inquiry as often as you remember

I decided to get a litle snippy with a follow up question
_______________________________________________

I recently sent a question to this inquiry site. The response was very poor. As a loyal Ford customer I expect much more from you folks.

Lets try again... Try and read the question this way:

Does Ford intend to continue offering the V10 motor option 99Y in future SuperDuty pickup trucks, or not?

I have owned 5 new Ford vehicles in last 6 years. I will be ordering two new 2007 SuperDuty trucks as soon as the order banks open. I plan on new trucks every couple of years for long into the foreseeable future.

Please do not refer me back to any local dealership in your response. I know much more about Ford trucks then any senoir sales or maintenance staff Ford has. This is a question for your marketing staff.

I shot them an email also. I'll post their reply if/when I get one. Thanks for the idea, a company's got to know how the customer feels and what it is the customer wants. What they'll do about it is anyones guess though.

The BSEG is a beautiful thing indeed.

By the way, I sold my trusty old friend, a '93 F150XL, 300cid I6, w/ 5spd manual. w/ 267,800 miles on the clock. I sure do miss just chucking wood carelessley in the back of that old beast. That and climbing in with filthy greasy sawdust laden clothes after a good day cutting/splitting wood.

On the other hand.... B.. S.. E.. G.. rules when hauling that load down the road.

Questions: Hi,

What is the future for the 6.8L V10 in the F250 and F350? The rumor mill

is saying that the V10 will no longer be offered in '08, that you are

discontinuing this engine? Is that true? Is there a large cubic inch gas

engine available that might replace it? Obviously the 5.4L will not cut

it, nor would I consider it for my towing needs. And specifically, I am

not, nor will I ever be a diesel owner/buyer. There are many, many people

who would never consider purchasing a diesel for many a varied reason.

Don't give them a reason to go to anyone else for their engine needs.

Again, the rumor is that you will only have a diesel and 5.4L option for

'08? If this is the case, I would be forced to purchase my trucks from

someone else. I have been a longtime Ford truck owner, and would like to

continue to be one for the very long term. Please let me know what your

plans are for the V10 and/or its replacement.

Thank you,
Paul

Questions: What is the future of the V10 engine option in the Superduty,
99Y ???

I plan on buying another F250 in 2007, but advance ordering guides show I
can't buy one in New York. I currently have a 2001 V10 F250.

And what is the future of the V10 after that?
