If it is done right, might look OK, Guess I will have to wait for a picture, hate to order one and it look like a striped ape..
Those are the only available exterior colors. You choose one, not all of them. I love the description of the highline package and might just get me one if I can get a V10.

Squeeky wheel idea is all I got right now.

I need to get off my butt some day and buy a share or two so I get the proxy vote info
I know this isn't relevant to the conversation but between my IRA and my wife's, we own 2,600 shares of Ford Motor Company that I have bought believing the company would turn around.

Now, with a large loss on the investments, I am considering dumping it because of poor management decisions.

Now, being a shareholder, would this theoretically be able to get me more information that would be normally accesible? If so, how? Simply by going to the shareholders meeting?

Let me know,
Eric

BlueOval, Me too on that Highline, of course I would like to see some pics at least, but from what I have read on it, that special black leather and dash , just might be the ticket for me,, With the bright Red exterior.... Will be looking closely for that one to be in my driveway. Thanks
Also, I fired off a letter to ford about the V-10, we will see what I get back

Hey Blue Oval

I think dropping the SD truck engines altogether and shuttering the truck engine plants may be good financially for Ford. Look at Freightliner, and Kenworth, Peterbuilt. They have reputations of building extremely durable over the road trucks, and none of those companies build their own engines, or transmissions, and none of their trucks are available with gas engines. One co. who does make a tractor and engine is IH (Navistar), and you can get cat, or cummins besides IH in their trucks.

I can see Ford Super Duties going the same direction as KW and Freightliner offering trucks with the customer chosing the power plant seperately; thereby concentrating their product design, styling, and mfg on the Super Duty truck, Not the engine (maybe even droping the transmission and drivelines too, closing those plants).

Therefore It might be a good thing to own some Ford stock. If you wish, I'd be interested in buying 100 shares from ya just so I could sit in on their meetings and be privy of inside info. Maybe we could do our deal without getting brokers involved and paying their commissions. Just you and I. What do ya think? Mail me!

I just heard on the news tonight about the new government average fuel mileage requirements for auto manufacturers. Not only are they lowering the average mileage by more than 1 MPG but they are now including the larger trucks and SUV's. If that's the case, then that may spell the end of the V-10 before it even had a chance. Ford will spec nothing but diesel if it will gain them the extra mpg's they need.

The frustrating thing about this is my '99 Windstar with a 3.8 only gets 14 mpg. Why can't Ford make a smaller vehicle more economicl, then they wouldn't have to mess with the larger work trucks.

That's exactly what I want. Bright Red exterior with Black leather. I just wish it were a Crew Cab option. Only time will tell I guess.

I'd love to but they're in my IRA so I can't obtain the stock certificate or transfer it. The stock is selling for around $8 a share, open an E-Trade account or something and buy a 100 shares and it will cost you less than $900.

In my first post I asked where did the rumor that the V10 was soon to be discontinued was started, but got no replies? What evidence exists to warrant this rumor? Also where can I obtain a order guide for the 2007 Superduty?

Thanks.

That is so true about the 3.8L only getting 14mpg. My X gets 14 with 4x4 and 6 passengers and a weeks worth of lugage.

Anyone know if this is effecting GM and their 8.1L?

I read on a GM truck site this morning that the 8.1 will not be available after 2008. It was in a post about something else and there wasn't much discussion about it. Maybe because 2009 seems so far off?
