2.0 Performance

Are there any performance parts available for the 2.0 gasoline engine in my 1988 Ranger?

Everything for a 2.3 works on your late model 2.0 unlike the early German made 2.0 engine. You just have....let me think about this....a shorter stroke crank or smaller bore....It escapes me right now!

Yes, it's one of those!

The 2.0 has a smaller bore than the 2.3. Stroke is the same.

The main parts difference is the block, pistons and with rare exception the valve sizes. You could get a 2.3 block and pistons and use the rest of your parts.
