stock 88 FI 460, what cam is the best?
Probably a common question, but i am curious. The motor and efi setup are in my 79, and i am planning on going with a fresh longblock since the motor right now is leaking bad, burns oil, and has a cooked valve. I dont plan on doing any mods to it, get rid of the egr system and what not, the heads will be fresh, maybe shaved a bit, not sure yet. The truck feels great with the weak motor as is, but it isnt going to last long. I was curious as to what cam is on the market that will maximize the performance from the stock parts. I know on the mustang side of things you have to be careful with speed density, but im not too concerned as guys have made great power on SD. Any input would be great, thanks!
