moisture on plug

4.6 2000 model. Had a miss in #6, changed plugs. Started missing again a few days later. Plug was moist. Cleaned and put it back in.... and runs OK. Do I have a failing head gasket? Have not pulled heads on an engine in years. How are these constructed? Are the plugs in the head or the block? Any advice.

misfire in #6

2000 4.6 misfire # 6 cyl. again after I dried the plug. Where could the moisture on top of this plug be coming from? No rain today. Could it be a pinhole in the head? How can I track this down?

Please help.

Does it smell like antifreeze of is it just water? Possible small leak at the intake or themostat housing?

Not usually since the intake is separated from the block. In an older OHV type engine it could, since the intake sat over the lifter galley.
