Smile 1998 F250 Xlt

I was hoping to get some info. It's been 6 years since i drove a truck, and that was dad's 1997 F-150 Lariat.

I just bought a used 1998 F250 Super Crew and it didn't come with the owner's manual. While I am versed in engines, spark plugs, etc, etc, I have no idea what are the capacities of this truck.

It's a 2 door (3rd half door), 5.4L, Triton V8 Automatic, seats 6.

Any idea if it's 1/2 or 3/4 ton?
Maximum Tow Capacity for Travel Trailer?
Maximum Tongue Weight of Travel Trailer?
Gas Tank Size?

Any other tidbits you guys might have concerning this truck would be great.

Thanks.

The truck isn't a supercrew... it's a super cab. The super crew has four full sized doors that open in a conventional manner. The super cab has the rear suicide door(s).

The F250 of this era (looks like a 150) is called the LD, or Light Duty as it was made for the the under 8500lb GVWR segment F250. Technically 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton are no longer valid terms in the modern truck market after 1980. In this case a person could have a payload of over 1 ton in an F250LD regular cab with 3.73s and a 5.4.

I do have some info on the LDs, but in essence the type of truck that the LD was later became the F150 7700 of 2000-2004...

If you go to kspilkinton.clubfte.com and click on the what is a 7700 page, I am working on with a brief history of these trucks with some facts about them. I don't have the pictures working and some info is missing, but it'll give you a heads up.
