Hey guys and gals. Just curious to see when and what people are gonna upgrade to for their next vehicle. I guess I'll start...Right now I've had my 2000 PSD for a year, and I'm planning on upgrading in the summer of 2007 to either an '03 Ford CC 7.3 PSD, or an '04/05 Dodge Ram 2500 quad cab with a 5.9 Cummins under the hood. Keep this forum going!
I'll probably have my F150 forever. I love that thing. I downgraded to a 89 dodge shadow with the 2.5 and the 5 spd. Its a fun car and gets good gas mileage and will alow me to work on my F150 because i can leave it taken apart for longer periods of time and not have to worry about what i'm going to drive to work.

85 4x4 5.0L F150 Reg Cab-What the heck should I do with this thing?
I hope to keep the current Ranger long enough to get through college and into a "real" job, so that I can buy something pretty new. Hopefully a Wrangler, another Ranger (this time 4.0 4x4) or (if they actually make them) a Jeep Gladiator. That'd actually be my top choice, but I'm not holding my breath.
I'm not sure the plan would involve getting rid of the Ranger, though. I'm kinda fond of the thing.
Right now I have 2000 Mustang which I'll give to my brother next year when he gets his license. I'm planing to drive my 2005 F-150 and then when I graduate from college (2008) to get brand new 300C. I love that car.
One thing I noticed is it seems the older guys in these forums are more brand loyal than the youger crowd. It seems a lot of us are Ford/Chrysler brand fans.
Whatever I decide to get, it must be bigger than the ranger I have now. I'm 6'6 and a big guy so the ranger is a tight fit. Maybe an suv or a extended cab truck.
when i upgrade, it wont be no off the lot deal. itll be a newer 250, with a cummins in it and an allison tranny, extended cab long bed. i figured for the big trailers, i need the longer wheel base to keep them steadier on the highway, but i dont want to long for backup ease. the cummins for the torque, the allison for the strength. dark metallic blue, black interior.
im gonna run my 82 f100 til the body falls off the frame, then i'll downgrade my 96 f150 to beater. then hopefully find a older superduty with the 7.3 and a stickshift, or maybe take the big leap up to an international ctx.

I plan on gettin an 88-93 LX 5.0L Mustang either auto or 5 spd. I want the notchback style of the LX rather than the fastback/hatchback style of the GT. Technically I am upgrading anyway once my truck gets done, from my 98 CSVT to my 54 F100. I will get a mustang for my next car, either the aforementioned LX w/5.0L or a 96-98 GT 4.6L auto or 5spd. Rather have the 88-93 since that would be the 4th gen of mustang we have(we have these now 65,94,05)

i plan to keep my 76 for ever, i dont ever plan on selling it just making it faster and stronger. i have an 86 f-150 4x4 with a 302 at my moms house that hopefully i will be getting back soon (long story) and i can use that as a parts getter / beater.
Plan on keepin my 83 till it dies, but for graduation i might get a late model jeep, or an older CJ or sumthin. And if the 6.4 powerstroke comes out when i graduate, ill get one of those single cab dually wuth 6 inch stacks! All depends on if the fols will get me nething or the grandparents! If not ill just put me a turbo on my 83, then some stacks, new paint, new seats, and wheels etc...

i plan on keeeping my 78 and 56 forever.might sell the BMW after college, the 6 cylinder is needed with gas the way it is.Prolly put a 460 in the 78 when i don't have to drive it everyday.the 56 will be a project for awhile.like to get a mustang too.id rather stick with the 78-79's though, love the looks, awesome trucks.
Hopefully I'll be able to keep the '95 F-150 & turn it into my toy. I wanna drop a 460 in & turn it into an offroad-only vehicle. I don't like the looks of the 97-02 F-150, so I'd like to get one that's 03 or newer. Probably a Dodge w/ Cummins to tow the mudder when it's no longer street legal.
