hey what would you guys/gals do that come from a single parent family, and your parent came to you and was upset and they said that they are having trouble making ends meet
i know what i am gonna do. but i am just curious about what you folks would do

it would probably depend on if the parent was doing everything in thier power to make ends meet (ie they hit a string of bad luck) or if they were lazy / drunk / drug user

i just recently had to give up getting a floor shifter for my truck so i could get passed inspection so i could give my dad $130 to help with mortguage. he collectes militaria (war stuff) and just bought something that wasnt "expensive" but it wasnt cheep either and then he got laied off and then becuase i took the tool box off my 86 F-150 (that i payed $100 of the $300 the whole truck cost and my mom stole from me when she kicked me out) she took $200 out of child support. so after all that we were a little short so i helped out.
First thing would be cut the ciggs, beer, cell phones, tv, and internet
Then;
find extra work
no more junkfood crap (ie pop, cookies, granola bars)
let maintance go longer
no more new parts (non mechanical)
Cut my insurance
sell the truck
sell the cycle
sell tools
I dont know, but I would like to stay in this house for a long time...
Hard question...
If she didnt quit smoking first, I would leave and say cya... same thing if it was because of drugs
