I miss them much
I quit halfway through it soundwave, but thats not why I am replying.
I have tools for anything I would need to do on my truck, chain, hi-lift (check mount in my gallery) I am surprised that only a couple people have a gun on their list. I carry a 1911 Hi-Cap.
Also, one other thing to consider for all of you guys that keep this stuff in the cab. what happens in a rollover? How do you have this secured? I have a neighbor that was beat nearly (very close) to death by his tools in his tool box in a rollover, he was buckled in, and the passenger compartment was fine. If it wasnt for his tools, he probably would have had a few sore muscles, not bruises and broken bones and a hospital stay. Think about it... Stay safe.

angle grinder...Oxy torch...5lb. hammer...yup, im workin on the truck again!
In the cab I keep a small flashlight and a jumper pack because jumper cables are only useful if there are two cars. I also have paper clips. Found out these were useful when I had a cheap shifter fall apart.
In my bed box:
A length of pipe
Tow chain taken off a rollback when I used to tow
Tow strap
25 ft. length of chain with hooks on each end
Toolbox with sockets, wrenches, and screwdrivers
Heavy duty scissors jack (Don't trust my original bottle jack)
Two blankets
Knife
A Power Probe III electrical tester (very useful tool)
Old pair of overalls
Gloves and ski mask
Magnetic flashlight so I don't have to hold it
Rope
Bungee cords
Ratchet straps
Hose clamps and other small parts
That's about all. Can never be overly prepared. Anything can happen in the 2 miles I travel to work every day
I don't travel too far too often, but I've needed this stuff at one time or another. I had trouble in different truck 500 miles away from home once and rebuilt my carburator and drove back home using stuff I had in truck and a kit from a NAPA I found near where I broke down.
Oh and I keep an extra set of points in the glove box.
I keep mainly essential items: Jumpers, CB, hand tools, zip ties, tire inflator powered thru the cig lighter, engine coolant, funnels for topping off fluids, tow strap, old pair of pants and an old t-shirt just in case I need to crawl under some one's car on the side of the road.
