Jumper cables. Youd be surprised how many women you meet when everyone knows you carry jumper cables in your truck.
Condoms is a good one too!

OK, let's not talk about the condoms anymore. That could cause this thread to wander off to a topic that isn't allowed on the boards here (sexuality). Thanks.

Haha...dont I know it. At my work most people dont even know what my first name is, they just call me "redneck".
You are right though, many times I have had people come up to me and say, "I left my lights on, do you have any jumper cables?" If its a good-looking woman, you can bet that I smile and gladly help.

Obviously if your crossing water, and are carrying a gun, they would be very usefull to have

If I may, I'd like to have the last word on them...

Keep one in the glovebox, and replace it before it expires

All I have in mine is a spare quart of oil, spare tire, jack, tire lug/jack wrench. I really haven't gone anywhere too far. I do always have my cell phone with car charger.

I should take the jumper cables from my parent's garage. I've been asked a few times if I had any jumper cables.

godblessmud is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
just cleaned out my truck and have cometo the conclusion that i will need to buy a bedbox to fit everything back in since the canopy is coming off. and will need even more stuff as my truck gets bigger

full size spare
jack
lug wrench for my truck
universal lug wrench for others
Tow cable
tow chain
couple quarts of oil
1/8 gallon of 50/50 collant
funnel
3 rolls of tape on my stick shift (duct, masking, and 2 sided)
construction zip ties (3 ft long)
3 sweatshirts
Helio survival lighter (stays lit in 60mph winds, burns at 5000* saved my arse mountain climbing many times)
empty gas can
spare fuses
jumper cables
1,000,000 candlepower spotlight
flashlight
various knives and leatherman tools
and a box of certain objects that Beast12 has censored

that was all just an acumilation of crap built up over time. once i take off the canopy and get a bed box i'l have my actual tools in ther, a highlift, spare fluids and lugs and such. plus gettin a CB soon thatl help.

ive never gotten stuck in this truck before but have saved many others

wow... let me think, i have the spare tire, which is too small, another tire that i need to put on a rim to use as my spare. uh.... my knife, flashlight, and gerber are always in my pocket. A factory jack that i'm pretty sure can't lift my truck high enough to change a tire. 20 ft tow rope, about 30 ft of chain and a 50ft. cable that came off of my broken winch. jumper cables... and some misc. tools

pretty much anything to yank somebody out of a ditch, and if i can't i've got my cell so you can call a tow truck.

did you know that in the state of iowa the police or state patrol will not let you pull a stanger out of a ditch? is it like that everywhere??

i was told that last winter when i was pulling somebody out and a state patrol showed up.... he let me do it anyway cuz we were already hooked up, he just made sure let us know that he wasn't responsible for any damages..... i always make damnsure i aint either.

Never thought of this, haha... Let me think...

Tow rope, rope, flash light, pack of Lucky Strike, extra U-joint, spare tire, jack, jumper cables, spare tools, hitch, duct tape, 50/50 coolant, lots of other stuff, neccisary, depending on your definition of an "emergency", lol...
