PCV valve/crankcase filter location?
The Haynes manuel I have is not very clear & from what I can see crawling around under the hood, there is no PCV valve or crankcase filter coming off the valve cover?? It is a 95 F-150/I-6/auto. There is one component (round) right next to the oil filler cap that vents back to the air box.
Can someone fill me in on what this engine has?
Thanks!

Okay, there should be a PCV valve in the top of the valve cover, towards the rear of the engine. Possibly under the upper inake runners. It will then have a vacuum line going to the rear of the upper intake. There will be a 3/4-1" line going to the airbox from the oil fill neck, or someplace similar. Inside the airbox, under the aircleaner you should find the breather filter.

1989 F150 -> not sure about 1995 but my filter is found within the airbox, only a small piece of foam in a plastic housing I think. So its not near my PCV... when I bought a replacement filter from the Ford stealer the clerk commented that he had never sold one - I think they rot out and people don't know about them.
