99 f150 wheel size

Hey everybody I'm fixin to buy a 99 f150 lariat excab 4x4 It has 17" rims on it now my question is will a 16" rim fit I have a set of 16's off of my 98 150 that i rolled last year and would really like to use them any help is much appreciated

I believe they will fit. I have a 2001 which came with the (optional) 17" wheels, and I have used 16" snow tires and wheels. I think the '99s are similar in that regard.

There was a change in stud size around 2000, which shouldn't affect your situation.

stud size is irrelevant, just use the lug nuts that came on the truck

My '99 F-150 came with 16's. My tire size is 255/70/16. As long as your tires aren't much taller I don't think you'd have a problem.

I believe the original question was in regards to the rim size. Like said above, the studs size I beleive changed after 2000 so you should be fine, just make sure you have the right lug nuts.

As far as tire size, that depends on 2wd or 4wd and there is a very lengthy sticky about that. I fit 285x75 r16 tires on 16x8 wheels with stock lift on my 99 4x4. They are 32.9" tall, which is taller than some 33" tires. And it appears I have more room than with the 265's that were on it on stock wheels.
