I have rented a small picnic shelter (Shelter 1) for us to eat under. It guarantees us a spot and we will have it till 2pm. If no one else has a reservation, we can stay. If we have to move after 2pm, there are tables around, and there is alot to do otherwise. Parking is $4.
When?
Saturday, April 22nd. . .11am-12pm till whenever
Why not a BBQ?
State rules say we can't have any kind of fire before 4pm until after April 30th. Coleman type grills are ok, as are any self contained camping type stoves. If you have one and can bring it, then I guess a BBQ will be back on If not, we can do the sandwich/sides/salads/coldcut bisquit stuffs
Check out the site to see what the Park has to offer. They have hiking trails, playgrounds if you bring kids, fishing, bike trails, and camping if anyone wants to overnight. After the eats and we discuss some official Chapter stuff, ya'll will probably find me relaxing by the lake. . .fishing pole in hand All are welcome to join me, I might have a spare pole with me also.
We need to discuss some official Chapter stuff! Not a whole lot, but there are a few things that need addressing.
First off Art (North Carolina Leader) and I have been throwing around the idea of a VAC-NCC get together somewhere along the state line this summer. They have had their meet and discussion, and think it would be a great idea and crap load of fun if we can pull it off. We need to talk about how we can do it, who could come and if yall are for it or not(some have already expressed interest). I think it would be a blast!
Secondly, its going to be the same dry old routine from me about local meets. . .yawn, I know, just bear with me. . .I'll keep it short and quick
Finally, if there are any concerns you want addressed, please bring them up!
Who's coming and bringing what?
Post if you can make it, what you can bring and if your bringing guests. Family and freinds are all welcome! Off the top of my head, we need coldcut samiches and whatnot, sides, salads, utensils, plates, napkins, cups, drinks, ice, chairs?, ???. . .I'm going to try and keep an updated running list of everything.

Reason: add items as per request, added more as per request
It can never hurt to have a few extra chairs. Even though there should be more than plenty in the shelter, unless someone wants to eat under the trees or by the lake. . .with his fishing pole
Can't wait to meetcha!

Pending anything strange, I will be there. I can bring along some various sandwich fixins, lunch meat, ketchup, mustard, relish, and cheese. And who knows, maybe a truck this time.
Cool! The wife and I will attend! We can bring the plates, cups, napkins and eating utencils. Just let me know how many to bring. The park is just a hop from us here in Chester. Got four lawn chairs I can bring and a 48 quart cooler if needed. Keep me posted!
Drinks: Diet Dew and Diet Dr. Pepper would be nice
