Bronco Lightning

I have heard of this before that ford made two "Bronco Lightnings" What do you think of this is it real or a "Clone"

It is a clone b/c Gen I lightnings didn't come with superchargers, and the spedometer went up higher than 85, (can't remember if it was 100 or 120).

If you ever have to fix it and you are not handy with S/C on that old engine you will have a hard time fixing that thing.

I read about this in Hot Rod magazine back in 95. One of the big wigs for Ford had a one of a kind Bronco made for himself, using a Lightning drivetrain. He even used the L wheels, but had to bor out the centers on the front, for the hubs. His was the only factory Ford Lightning/Bronco ever made.

What's so hard about repairs on that motor? I don't find it any more challenging to wrench on mine now than when it was stock...just have to remove inlet and/or discharge pipe occasionally, but that's just a couple of hose clamps.

There is a member that converted his bronco to look like a GEN 1 L (not sure if this is the same guy) and it looked very nice when it was completed.

Ford uses Eaton S/C, and that Whipple was not invented in -96 when the truck was made.
