Lost remote for keyless entry several months ago. System was working fine at the time. Bought a new remote from ford. Instructions say to turn ignition switch off and on 8 times within 10 seconds, leaving the switch in the on position. Doors should lock and unlock letting you know the system is ready for reprograming. After switching the truck off and on 8 times I get no response from the vehicle. Any Ideas of where to start looking for a problem.

 

Take it to the dealer where you bought the remote, or call them, would seem the easiest fix... Lost mine a few years ago on my chevy and when I bought it, they did mine, took all of about 30 seconds..

 

Make sure you are doing it within 10 seconds. The truck doens't give much leeway on the time.
