Torsion bar question???

On my stock 2002 Screw 4X4 --- I'm going to crank the torsion ars to level the front..... I crawled under the truck and noticed the passenger side adjustment bolt is already cranked 3/4 of the way up; while the driver side barley has been turned much at all..... Now both sides are the same height because I measured both fender wells..... I have had the truck since mile 1.... Any ideas why one is noticably cranked more than the other? Can I still adjust it?

timmyjimmy, I asked the same question to my manager when I worked at Discount Tire after noticing the same thing on mine. This is what he told me, but I don't know how much truth there is to this. He said that the passenger side is cranked a little more because most highways in this country have a gradual grade towards the edge of the road for water runoff. Cranking the passenger's side up more makes the truck drive straight on a sideways sloping road. I cranked my torsion bars just like you did, the bolts underneath are not cranked the same, but the truck sits at the same height on both sides, I got it aligned right afterwards, and it drives straight as an arrow. Hope this sheds some light, again I don't know how much truth there is to this, but it seems viable.
