Richman gears sells a video on gear changing I have a old vertion but it's all the same It been along time last time I did gear change just take you.r time.

Try you'r local gear shop they mite let you make a copy of there's video thats where I got mine.

Chev sells a yellow gear paint it's easyer to look read at this paint to get you tooth pattren than the blue stuff.

Start off with you'er stock shims then add or subtarct from there, You are going to have to have a hyd press and air impact, mag base dail indicator. It looks and sound harder than it is. Run some good gear oil Ford saids use synthetic gear oil it will make you'r gears ect last longer spend the cash do it right the first time.

Look hard on what gear ratio you want to run I have a buddy that running 4.56 gears with 35 inch tires it pulls great but hwy rpm's are to high he wish he went with 4.30 gears he lost MPG he rev's to high and high old 3.73 were to much hwy gears no bottem end and luged up on the hwy.

I just installed the Warn Premium Hubs(manual) and they are great. These complete my truck for now.

2000 V10 CC
X-Springs up fron provide 2" lift
Bilstien 7100 f/r
4.88 f/r with an Eaton Limited in the rear and a LockRite in the Dana 50

Tows anything anyplace. With 33" Bridgestone Revo I tach pretty high at 80mph, but my fuel consumption has remained the same, fun to drive!
